Universal Music Publishing Group and Disney Music Group expand relationship

Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), and Disney Music Publishing (DMP), the music publishing arm of The Disney Music Group (DMG), today announced a new agreement that expands the territories in which UMPG will administer DMP’s catalogs to include the United Kingdom, Ireland, continental Europe, as well as Israel and countries in Africa and the Caribbean.

Marni Condro named head of Film & Television at Universal Music Publishing Group

UMPG announced today the appointment of Marni Condro to Senior Vice President of Film & Television creative synchronization for the U.S., effective immediately.

In her new role leading UMPG’s film and television division, Condro oversees all creative placements of the company’s music catalog in film, trailers, television, TV marketing campaigns, sports and videogames. Condro will be based at the company’s headquarters in Santa Monica and report to Evan Lamberg, President of UMPG, North America.

Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has signed a worldwide administration deal (excluding Nordic Region and Baltic States) to represent Per Gessle for the entire Roxette catalog (with Marie Fredriksson), along with certain other songs. Per Gessle is one of Scandinavia’s all-time most successful artists and songwriters. With a gift for catchy hooks, both musically and lyrically, he has composed chart-topping pop hits for more than three decades.
