UMPG Receives 119 Nominations for the 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards

SANTA MONICA, CA- Universal Music Publishing Group is proud to announce the company has a publishing interest related to 119 nominations for the 57th Annual GRAMMY® Awards.

“The breadth and depth of Universal Music Publishing’s Grammy nominations is a real testament to our domestic and international songwriters and our global creative staff,” said Evan Lamberg, President of UMPG North America. “We are all very proud of our songwriters, producers and artists for continuing to create the special global hits that fuel the engine of the music business.”

UMPG writer James Napier co-wrote Sam Smith’s mega-hit “Stay With Me (Darkchild Version),” which is nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. Artists signed to the company who were recognized include Bastille, Miley Cyrus, Coldplay, Jhené Aiko, U2, Hunter Hayes, Keith Urban, Childish Gambino, Eminem, A Great Big World, Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj, as well as songwriters Luke Laird, Troy Verges and Shane McAnally, among others. Two acts, Bastille and Haim (ex-NA) took nods in the Best New Artist category.

Overall UMPG has representation in a broad spectrum of categories including four nominations in the prestigious Album of the Year category, all six albums in the Best Rap Album category, five of six nominations for Best Pop Vocal Album and all five nominees for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album. UMPG also received a nomination in the Best Music Theater Album category with West Side Story. Other highlights include the following:
