NASHVILLE, TN- Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) Nashville has signed budding new artist and songwriter Justin Adams to an exclusive publishing agreement. The announcement was made today by Kent Earls, Executive Vice President/General Manager, UMPG Nashville.
In 2013, Adams independently released his self-titled EP, which became a surprise hit and gained him a dedicated following almost overnight. Featuring songs co-written with established writers including Kent Blazy and Karyn Rochelle, Adams’ EP has reached No.4 on the iTunes Country Music Albums chart, No.36 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and No.59 on the Billboard Country Albums.
“Justin is one of the hardest working, extremely focused and brightest artists that we’ve had the fortune to sign. We look forward to helping Justin take his artistry and music to the next level,” said Earls.

In the wake of the success of his debut EP, Adams has been balancing his writing with a busy tour schedule. His recent collaborations include working with Mark Nesler, Chris Lindsey, Aimee Mayo, Tony Martin, Steve Bogard, andPhil O’Donnell. Outside of his songwriting, Adams has shared the stage with such artists such as Trace Adkins, Joe Nichols, Craig Morgan, Dustin Lynch, Eli Young Band, David Nail, Love and Theft, Easton Corbin, Eric Paslay and Charlie Worsham.
