Mexico City, D.F. - Universal Music Publishing Mexico has signed an exclusive publishing administration agreement with SACM (Sociedad de Autores y Compositores de México), the Mexican performing rights organization, for the US and Puerto Rico, it was announced today by Yadira Moreno, Managing Director of UMPG México & Central America.
Through the deal, UMP Mexico will provide administration, licensing and creative services for all domestic and international songs owned and/or administered by SACM Publishing in Mexico.
“We couldn’t be more delighted that SACM entrusted their legacy to UMPG,” said Yadira Moreno. “SACM has a unique catalog that conveys the cultural essence of contemporary Mexican music. It will be our privilege to maximize opportunities for the composers we now represent, and to continue promoting their songs in the territory.”
