MIAMI, FL (June 08, 2016) – As part of Universal Music Publishing Group’s strategic effort to expand opportunities for songwriters through U.S. Latin and Latin America, well-known and respected industry music executive Ana Rosa Santiago has been appointed to a new role as VP of Latin Music, reporting to Alexandra Lioutikoff, Executive VP of Latin Music, UMPG.
Santiago joins UMPG from ASCAP, where for 18 years she ran the PRO’s operation in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean and signed such artists and songwriters as Daddy Yankee, Tito Bambino, Luis Fonsi, Kany Garcia, Pedro Capo, and Sky & Bull Nene among many others. Prior to ASCAP she worked in a creative role at Peer Music, working with writers in the U.S., Central and South America.
In this newly created A&R and synch role, Santiago will sign and develop talent and work to create cross border creative opportunities for UMPG songwriters, as well as promote and monetize UMPG’s extensive Latin American catalog.
In making the announcement Lioutikoff said: “I’ve known Ana Rosa for most of her career and have always been impressed by her ear for talent and the professional & creative way she works with everyone in our industry.
