Adele's third studio album ‘25’ is officially the biggest album of 2016 in the UK, followed by Coldplay’s ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ - according to data from the Official Charts Company.
‘25’ is the biggest record of 2016 when sales and streams are combined – the second year the album has achieved this record. In June ‘25’ passed the 3 million sales mark, becoming one of only 26 albums in history to do so – and the album has been continually in the Top 40 since its release.
Coldplay’s seventh studio album ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ topped the charts in February – continuing the band’s unbroken run of No. 1 studio albums.
