UMPG celebrated outstanding success at the 2024 GRAMMY Awards, representing 21 winning songwriters/artists across 25 genre-diverse categories.
Taylor Swift made history with ‘Midnights,’ co-written and co-produced by Jack Antonoff, becoming the first-ever artist to win Album of the Year four times! Billie Eilish won both Song Of The Year and Best Song Written For Visual Media for the stunning “What Was I Made For?” SZA took home three honors, including for Best R&B Song and Best Progressive R&B Album, while boygenius’ Lucy Dacus was also a 3x winner, including for Best Rock Song and Best Alternative Music Album.
Jack Antonoff was awarded Producer Of The Year, Non-Classical. UMPG breakthrough star Fred again.. won both Dance/Electronic Album and Dance/Electronic Recording with Elley Duhé. Kid Harpoon won Record of the Year for co-producing Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers.” Best Pop Vocal Album was won by Taylor Swift; Latin Rock or Alternative Album for Natalia LaFourcade; Gospel Performance/Song for Kirk Franklin – CCMG; Gospel Album for Tye Tribbett; Musical Theater Album for Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman; Score Soundtrack For Visual Media for Ludwig Goransson (Universal Pictures); Immersive Audio Album for Alicia Keys; and more.
UMPG also had numerous superstar performances including from Billy Joel – who performed his first new single in more than a decade “Turn the Lights Back On,” SZA, Billie Eilish, U2 at The Sphere, Luke Combs, Dua Lipa, Burna Boy, Brandy Clark and Kirk Franklin (CCMG).
