Universal Music Publishing Nashville today announced that Ty Myers has been signed to an exclusive, global publishing agreement.
Born just outside of Austin, Texas, Myers grew up on a cattle ranch owned by his family for more than six generations. He clung to music as a kid and never let go, obsessing over an expansive range of artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Bill Withers, and Otis Redding to Chris Stapleton and George Strait. During 2023, he made waves with his debut single “Tie That Binds,” gaining traction organically and generating over 11 million Spotify streams. On its heels, “Drinkin’ Alone” exploded with over 26 million Spotify streams and counting.
Most recently, fans passionately reacted to the teasing of his new song, “Ends of the Earth,” causing Myers to move-up the release date and unveil it on October 18 via RECORDS Nashville/Columbia. With a soulful progression and grungy electric guitar, the song has already proven to be a fan favorite both at his current live shows and online where the song has yielded over 35,000 social posts before its official release.
Troy Tomlinson, Chairman & CEO, UMPG Nashville said: “Roxy King’s and Missy Roberts’ belief in Ty is unwavering, and the moment he stepped into our building, the entire team could see why. Ty is a keen observer of the world and that is reflected, not only in his songwriting, but also in the way he carries himself on and off the stage. We are thrilled to join his journey.”
Myers added: “I could not be more excited about signing with Universal Music Publishing. This team felt like home from the first meeting.”
Ty embarked on his headline Let Em Talk Tour this Fall, and sold-out every date. He is represented by CAA for touring and managed by Narvel Blackstock at Starstruck Entertainment.
UMPG Nashville is home to Music Row’s best and brightest talent, including: Taylor Swift, Luke Combs, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Maren Morris, Scotty McCreery, Ingrid Andress, Ian Munsick, and hit songwriters Matraca Berg, Chase McGill, Paul DiGiovanni, Troy Verges, Brad Tursi, Benjy Davis, Ray Fulcher, Jacob Davis, John Pierce, Caitlyn Smith, and Brandy Clark, to name a few.
