Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has signed a global co-publishing deal with songwriter-rapper-singer Lil Yachty. The deal comes on the heels of the artist’s new album debut, Teenage Emotions.
A popular addition on the charts, Lil Yachty has made waves with hit singles including 'iSpy,' 'Broccoli,' and 'One Night.' He is also known for hit collaborations with fellow UMPG artists Quavo, Migos, YG, T-Pain, Carly Rae Jepsen, and more. Lil Yachty was nominated for a 2017 Grammy Award for the popular 'Broccoli.'
“Lil Yachty has proven to be a standout recording artist and songwriter, with a talent for delivering songs with catchy hooks. He's brave and unapologetic about his artistry. We are happy to be working with Coach K and P on another great artist from the Quality Control family,” said UMPG CEO and Chairman Jody Gerson.
The deal was led by UMPG’s Walter Jones and Brandra Ringo.
