Isabella Summers writes theme song for TV show Riveria

Starring Julia Stiles, Iwan Rheon, Lena Olin, Phil Davis and Adrian Lester, and created by Paul McGuiness, Sky Atlantic’s new series Rivera – a drama filled with scandal set in the French Riveria – has already caused something of a stir.

The theme song for the show ‘Was It Love’ was written by UMPG's Isabella ‘Machine’ Summers and features Lena.

Producer Liza Marshall remembers the initial conversations fondly. “I told Isabella what we wanted – a song that encapsulated the idea of a woman going on a journey and discovering that all was not as it seemed” she says. “We talked about the look and feel of the show, the glamour and the murky world behind the wealth, and she came back with a draft of the fantastic song we now have.”

Summers, the talent behind it all, concludes: “Writing to a picture is a beautiful process, being able to visualise the words is amazing.”

Riveria is available now via Sky Atlantic and Now TV.
