UMPG works with Havas, Mercury KX and Sharps Brewery to create 'KEYNVOR'

Keynvor is a new project from Mercury KX in collaboration with artist Sebastian Plano. Taken from the Cornish word for “ocean”, the Keynvor project is built around, inspired by and intrinsically linked to the coast.

The Keynvor campaign, which comes in association with Havas London and Sharp’s Brewery Atlantic Pale Ale, will be funding its own conservation through the release of a new single ‘Preservation’. The track, which is out now on all digital platforms, combines the voice of the ocean with new music from Plano.

Sebastian Plano and Mercury KX will donate 100% of the monies they receive from streaming use and the income they receive from permanent downloads of the track (at least £0.50 per permanent download) to the charity Surfers Against Sewage, which will help to raise funds for, and awareness of, coastal issues such as erosion and pollution.

Partnering with Berlin-based composer Sebastian Plano, the Keynvor project announces itself with ‘Preservation’. The track develops out of stunning, ethereal sounds of Cornish waves crashing on the rocks, with Plano masterfully creating percussive, rhythmic sounds from field recordings collected throughout March 2018.

The track interweaves sounds of the ocean with beautiful music, creating a magical new piece. ‘Preservation’ is a bold start to the Keynvor collaboration and undoubtedly one of the most inspiring new musical projects to appear in 2018.
