From Ad to National Airplay Top10 / JOE BUCK - THE WAY YOU TAKE TIME

For the commercial 'Goed eten is samen eten' by Dutch supermarket PLUS, agency J. Walter Thompson Amsterdam, Amp Amsterdam and Universal Music Publishing Netherlands joined forces and organized a writing camp with some of our best songwriters. The song 'The Way You Take Time' written by Sjoerd de Buck and Simon Leferink hit the briefing perfectly. The commercial and this song was picked up by consumers immediately and curiosity about who sang the song was so big that radio DJ Domien Verschuuren (QMusic) started a search to find the singer of this catchy tune.

Radio picked up the song and because of the high demand it entered the Dutch Airplay Charts Top 10, stayed there for 14 weeks and peaked at #3.

End of December 2019 this song was voted no 1 in the 'Reclamemuziek Top 40 aller tijden' over the past 50 years.
