UPPM and Score Addiction Reveal Game-Changing Customization Tool

London, UK -- Universal Publishing Production Music (UPPM) today announces an exclusive partnership with Score Addiction to launch one of the most advanced web application for tailoring production music online.

The new tool allows video editors, producers and content creators to seamlessly search, find and customise world-class library music for film, broadcast and advertising, directly from their web browsers. The Score Addiction web application is the first of its kind for the UK market, making it even more revolutionary and innovative.

Currently within the application, a catalogue of 40 albums will be available in the UK, 26 of which come from Universal Publishing Production Music’s catalogue and 14 from Score Addiction. This catalogue is set to grow substantially over the coming year. Music genres within the catalogue are best suited for trailer and promotional music and include tracks from labels including Volta, Chappell, Atmosphere and Universal Trailer Series.

The design of the application combines a simple interface with an intelligent search algorithm, which allows users to quickly find and tailor tracks. Once a track has been selected it can be applied within the app using a number of advance tools and does not require additional software.

With every track, users are able to mute and solo each instrument, adjust the volume of each instrumental stem and seamlessly adjust the tempo of the selected track in real time. Users can also immediately synch their tracks to video, enabling direct customization of music to on-screen dialogue, climaxes and transitions.

John Clifford, UPPM UK Managing Director, commented: “This is the most innovative product of its kind, and perfectly addresses the importance of quality, flexibility and creativity in content creation. We’re very passionate about being able to offer our clients an advanced app with functions that allow them to expand their creative capabilities with ease, and gives them the ability to play with various stems and create new mixes from the web-based app.”

Luke Gordon, Creative Director at Score Addiction, added: “As a composer I noticed an increased demand for stems from editors; they want extra control of the music that you can’t achieve with a stereo mix. I wanted to find a way to make music editing flexible, and above all, a fun process for the person who really knows what the music should do - the content creator! We couldn’t be in safer and more qualified hands with Universal Publishing Production Music, and we think this is a very exciting union for the industry”
