UMPG's family of songwriters, artists, and producers widely recognized across genres at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards

UMPG celebrated outstanding success at the 2025 GRAMMY Awards, representing 15 of Sunday night's Grammy Award winners, who garnered trophies across 19 genre-diverse categories, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year.

Kendrick Lamar was the biggest winner of the night, picking up five awards including Record of the Year, Song of The Year, Best Rap Song, Rap Performance and Music Video for “Not Like Us.” Sabrina Carpenter collected her first two Grammys, winning Best Pop Vocal Album for Short N’ Sweet and Pop Solo Performance for “Espresso.” 

Raphael Saadiq was recognized for his work on Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter album which won Album of the Year; SZA took home Best R&B Song for the second year in a row, and Doechii became only the third female rapper in history to win Best Rap Album for Alligator Bites Never Heal.

In addition, UMPG songwriters also triumphed in Música Mexicana Album for Carín León; Traditional R&B Performance for Lucky Daye; R&B Album for Chris Brown; Contemporary Christian Music Album for DOE, Gospel Performance/Song for Kenneth Leonard Jr., and Tasha Cobbs Leonard; Roots Gospel Album for Cory Henry and Global Music Performance for Gloria Estefan.

In the film/TV and theater categories, Maestro: Music by Leonard Bernstein, whose songwriting catalog is represented by UMPG won Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. Alicia Keys’ hugely acclaimed Broadway show Hell’s Kitchen won Musical Theater Album, while also being recognized by the Recording Academy as the third honoree to receive the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. 

UMPG also represents numerous established and burgeoning superstars who performed and presented during the awards telecast. including Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, Gloria Estefan and Doechii. 

In addition, UMPG Chairman & CEO Jody Gerson received the Recording Academy’s 2025 Industry Icon Award, recognizing her transformative leadership and impact on the music industry.
