From June 1st-10th 2012, the idyllic tropical town of Ubud in Central Bali played host to the 3rd annual Bali Songwriting Summit.

Originally conceived by Bill Silva Management’s Peter Cocquillard and Island Records Australia’s Michael Taylor as an effort to bring together some of the hottest artists, writers and producers from around the globe in one of the most culturally unique and artistically inspiring locations in the world, the 2012 Summit marked the 3rd anniversary of the event and the first with UMP Australia on board as the exclusive major publishing partner.

As part of Universal Music Publishing Australia’s partnership, UMPG send a number of writers to the summit each year to network and forge collaborative partnerships. In 2012, UMPG invited Multiple ARIA and APRA award winning writer producer Audius (Delta Goodrem, Jessica Mauboy), multiple APRA award winning artist and songwriter Blue MC (The Potbelleez) and Dutch-born, Australian based new signing Louis Schoorl (The Veronicas, Jessica Mauboy). Audius, Blue and Louis joined a number of multi-million selling  international writers that included Arnthor Birgisson, Gary Go, Herbie Crichlow and Brian Lee plus a cast of prominent Australian writers and artists including ARIA-award winning artist Megan Washington and new Island Records signing Sinead Burgess.
