Co-event producers, Island Records Australia and Bill Silva Management, and Sponsors Universal Music Publishing Australia and APRA recently held their 4TH annual Bali Songwriting Invitational 2013. The song writing event was conceived and launched in 2010 as a partnership between Bill Silva Management’s Peter Coquillard and Island Records Australia’s, Michael Taylor, in an effort to bring together some of the hottest artists, writers and producers from around the globe in one of the most culturally unique and artistically inspiring locations in the world.
An invitational event focusing on 10 days of songwriting, collaborations and inspiration, the Bali Songwriting Invitational 2013 was held May 15 – 25 in Ubud, Bali. Over 55 songs were composed and demo’ed at the 5 star recording studio and villas, Swara Padi.
Writers and artists attending this year included; 360 (ARIA and APRA winning multi-platinum Australian artist / songwriter), Joel Pott (Ivor Novello Awarded winning songwriter of #1 UK band, Athlete), Ricki-Lee Coulter (ARIA nominated platinum Australian artist), Greyson Chance (US artist on Ellen DeGeneres’s record), Chris DeStefano (Grammy winning songwriter / producer, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood), Stuart Matthewman (Grammy winning, multi-platinum writer/producer- Sade, Maxwell), Anjulie (Juno Award winning Republic Universal US artist / writer- Nicki Minaj, Cher Lloyd ), Arnthor Birgisson (# 1 songwriter Sweden - James Arthur, Leona Lewis, J Lo, Enrique Iglesias), Dan McNamee (of ARIA winning Australian band Art Vs Science), Gary Clark (Ivor Novello nominated songwriter UK - The Wanted, Natalie Imbruglia).

Since its inception in 2010, over the past years the Bali Songwriting Invitational has had top-charting artists attend including; Nick Jonas, Gary Go, Delta Goodrem, Havana Brown, Megan Washington, Brian McFadden, Julian Hamilton (of The Presents), Gin Wigmore [full list below], and International hit songwriters such as Bonnie McKee, Brian Lee, Julie Frost, Herbie Cricthlow, Heather Bright, Gary Clark and Paul Mac.
The Bali Songwriting Summit has grown ever popular, and received high acclaim for its world-class songwriting collaborations.
