UMPG would like to congratulate Ilan Kidron on winning 'Top Pop Song' at the 22nd ASCAP Latin Music Awards in New York City for his Ricky Martin composition 'Come With Me' (written with fellow Sydney-siders DNA Songs).
Perhaps best known for his role as frontman for multi-Platinum, multi-APRA winning electronic group 'The Potbelleez', behind the scenes Ilan has evolved to become one of Australia's most successful and in demand songwriters.
With The Potbelleez, Kidron has enjoyed a golden run of hits in Australia and also tasted chart and radio success throughout Europe. The Kidron co-penned anthems 'Don't Hold Back', 'Are You With Me' and 'From The Music' have featured prominently across major advertising and television campaigns for Jeep, The Apprentice and Samsung amongst many other notable synch uses.
As a songwriter, 'Come With Me' was a hit for Ricky Martin across Australia, North and South America while Kidron's co-penned composition 'New Way Home' for Finland's Isac Elliot was a #1 in Elliot's native Finland and a hit in Scandinavia with the song boasting more than 4m YouTube Views to date.
Ilan Kidron also co-composed the lead single 'Gotcha' (with UMPG's Jessica Mauboy and Louis Schoorl) taken from the box-office smash and ARIA #1 Album 'The Sapphires OST'.
