Lakyn is back with his new single 'Superhuman', this is his first single of the year, and is off the back of his previous 'Choirboy'.
Written and produced in London alongside Ant Whiting (M.I.A., Lisa Mitchell, SOAK) and Lucy Taylor (Friendly Fires, Dua Lipa) ‘Superhuman’ brings together Lakyn’s somewhat dark and low-slung vocal with flashes of warping electronica, which comes and goes amongst the uplifting, groove-filled production.
Performed live for the first time on Isol-aid Festival, ‘Superhuman’ is a result of the personal learnings that Lakyn has taken on over the last few years; the track being a little more introspective and mature than Lakyn’s past work. Singles ‘Choir Boy’, ‘West’, ‘View Looks So Good’ and ‘Sweet Days’ from his 2018 EP ‘& Pains’ already captured serious attention from tastemakers like Happy, Pilerats, Beat Magazine, The Music and triple j, garnering now over 16 million streams across DSPs. He has supported the likes of Vera Blue, Eves Karydas, LAUV and Eric Nam, as well as headlined sold out shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
