Hauskey releases his sophomore single 'Somewhere' which comes after the release of his debut 'Slow' earlier this year.
"...I wrote ‘Somewhere’ during week three of lockdown in Sydney. It was such an escape for me, that once I finished the first demo, I sat there for hours and just looped it over and over. It’s as much about physically wanting to get away, as needing to get out of my own head and stop thinking about every single negative thing that 2020 has thrown at us.” said Hauskey.
Hauskey’s debut single ‘Slow’ was met with widespread acclaim both locally and abroad. The track received over a million streams on Spotify alone, climbing to #23 in the Spotify Australian Viral Charts. ‘Slow’ also received significant editorial support internationally from Clash Magazine, Euphoria, Indie Shuffle, Alftitude and locally by tastemakers Project U and Purple Sneakers.
On the airwaves he received a full add over at Triple J and Hauskey named Triple J Unearthed Feature Artist of the Week. Off the back of this he performed for one of Australia’s most prestigious online series Triple J’s ‘Like A Version’ covering The Killers’ Mr Brightside accruing over 115K Views and is the second highest viewed LAV since the segment returned.
Hauskey (Andy Hopkins) is also known as an talented songwriter, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, producer and engineer for other artist projects.
