Timmy Trumpet’s 2017 track with Blasterjaxx ‘Narco’ has gone viral in the US, hitting No. 1 on the US Spotify Viral chart. 

‘Narco’ was already gaining in popularity after becoming the walkout theme for New York Mets baseball pitcher Edwin Diaz. However, it became a viral sensation after Timmy Trumpet (UMPG writer Timothy Jude Smith) attended the Mets game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, and performed the trumpet melody to 'Narco' live as Diaz took to the pitch – to the delight of the crowd and fans watching around the word. 

Talking about the song, Timmy Trumpet said: “I love making music that pumps up the crowd and gets your attention and the trumpet is the ultimate 'calling' instrument that can do just that in a split second. I’ve been playing the trumpet all my life so I know its strengths, and strong riffs like ‘Narco’ are simple and effective but very hard to come up with... I’ve written and recorded hundreds of riffs in my lifetime, but ‘Narco’ was special the day I recorded it.”
