Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), today announced the signing of Brazilian DJ Alok to an exclusive, global publishing agreement.
A newly stamped megastar, Alok has fast become one of the most distinctive figures in the electronic music scene today. With over three billion streams on Spotify and over 19 million monthly listeners, he’s the Brazilian artist with the most listeners in the world. In 2020, he became the second most followed DJ globally on social media, while 2021 saw him named the 4th Best DJ in the World on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll.

Alok’s impressive streaming figures come from a string of hit releases: ‘Don’t Say Goodbye’ (with Tove Lo), 'Never Let Me Go', 'Big Jet Plane', ‘On & On’, ‘Ocean’, ‘All The Lies’, ‘Hear Me Tonight’, ‘Don’t Cry For Me’ and his remix of Meduza’s ‘Piece of Your Heart’. The latter landed him a nomination at this year’s International Dance Music Awards. His biggest release, ‘Hear Me Now,’ recently reached over half a billion Spotify streams, while his Spotify playlist ‘This Is Alok’ is the platform’s second largest playlist of all time. Other recent releases include brand new single “Wherever You Go” in collaboration with John Martin, a partnership with global pop sensation Dua Lipa for the official remix of her hit single ‘Physical’, and a collaboration with John Legend on ‘In My Mind.’

Born to a family with strong musical roots (his parents, early pioneers of psytrance in Brazil, and brother all perform on the electronic scene), Alok made an early start in music with his brother and their project ‘Logica.’ Combining that with his current solo productions, Alok has been creating music for well over a decade. A prolific performer, Alok plays around 300 live shows a year, while his recent quarantine livestream achieved over 60 million views and was the #1 trending topic on Twitter.
