UMPG Nashville appoints Cyndi Forman as Senior Vice President, A&R
Universal Music Publishing Nashville today announced that Cyndi Forman has been promoted to Senior Vice President, A&R. She will continue reporting to Troy Tomlinson, Chairman and CEO of the Nashville division.
 
Forman is responsible for signing and developing new songwriting talent, as well as supporting the company’s current roster of writers. She will also play a key leadership role in further strengthening UMPG Nashville’s creative division. Forman, who joined UMPG in 2002, previously served as Vice President, Creative.
 
On making the announcement, Tomlinson said, “Cyndi represents the very heart and soul of Universal Music Publishing. Her love for songwriters, her positive attitude and energizing personality permeates our entire team and our writer roster.”
 
Said Forman: “I have been so fortunate to call Universal Music Publishing Group home for the last 17 years. The foundation of this company is built upon valuing great songwriters and I have always shared that same passion. I continue to be inspired by the talent on our roster and our dedicated Nashville and global teams.”
 
Forman is credited with signing and developing platinum artist Hunter Hayes. She also currently works with hitmakers Maren Morris, Kane Brown, Chris Young, Brad Tursi (Old Dominion), Caylee Hammack, Sam Ellis and Striking Matches. 
 
Forman has been recognized by MusicRow on their ‘Rising Women on The Row’ list and by Nashville Business Journal at their annual Women in Music City Awards in 2015. In 2018, Belmont University’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business, alongside ASCAP, honored Forman as the Music City Milestone Award recipient which recognizes a Belmont graduate who has achieved superlative success in the music industry.
