NASHVILLE – JULY 17, 2024 – Universal Music Publishing Nashville today announced that artist and songwriter Solon Holt has been signed to an exclusive, global publishing agreement.
From red brick streets to red dirt roads, 20-year-old Solon Holt began his musical journey at a young age in the Piney Woods of East Texas. As the youngest of four boys in a family with a rich musical heritage, Solon was exposed to musical genres of all types including Classical, Blues, Jazz, Folk, Pop, Traditional Country, and Bluegrass. However, it was his experience as a teen in an all-black church playing Gospel music every Sunday that helped curate his soulful sound.
Roxy King, Senior Director, A&R, UMPG Nashville said: “Solon exemplifies wisdom beyond his years in every aspect. His songwriting and musical prowess are a true reflection of his upbringing and have an authenticity that cannot be taught. Solon has an amazing journey ahead of him, and I am thrilled to be a part of it.”
Holt added: “I would like to thank UMPG for their vision and belief in me. I am truly honored to be a part of such a writer focused team. It means everything to me.”
