Adele made history last night by winning the Oscar for 'Best Original Song' for the James Bond theme ‘Skyfall’ - the first time a James Bond theme has ever won an Oscar. An emotional Adele said it was "amazing" to win the award for the song, which earlier in the evening she'd performed backed by a full orchestra and choir.

The single has to date sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide. The film ‘Skyfall’, starring Daniel Craig and directed by Sam Mendes, recently became the biggest grossing film of all time at the British box office.
