Lily Allen releases her third studio album ‘Sheezus’ today on Regal.
Lily returned to the studio last year following a three year hiatus, and shot to the top of the UK singles chart with her cover of Keane’s ‘Somewhere Only We Know’, whilst new single ‘Hard Out Here’ also charted in the Top 10 that same week. 2014 saw her follow up with singles ‘Air Balloon’ and ‘Our Time’ – with all four tracks featuring on the new album.
Reviewing 'Sheezus' The Telegraph (4 stars) herald “the return of British pop’s wittiest star” concluding “’Sheezus’ should confirm Allen’s status as a national treasure.” Shortlist note that “as far as the pop scene is concerned, Lily Allen remains a cactus in the desert”, whilst Esquire sum up, “job done, then: back with a bang”.
Since emerging in 2006 with her iconic debut No. 1 single ‘Smile’, Lily Allen has gone on to sell over 5 million albums worldwide, and her talent as a songwriter was acknowledged in 2010 when she won three Ivor Novello Awards.
