De Dijk hits the road again! The Dutch rock legends start their tour through the Netherlands on May 5th in Graauw, playing at open-air festival GraauwRock. The tour ends June 30th with a very special show at the Carré Royal Theater in Amsterdam.
Two years ago, De Dijk combined forces with Amsterdam Sinfonietta for their theater tour "Dijkers & Strijkers". The 8-piece rockband and 22-piece symphonic orchestra's collaboration was a huge success, as all 9 shows sold out completely. The same-named CD entered the album charts at no. 1. Because of this overwhelming success, the winning combination decided to do one more show.
The show will mainly feature De Dijk's repertoire. Hits like 'Bloedend Hart', 'Zevende Hemel', and 'Dat Zou Mooi Zijn'. In addition, cover songs of artists like Ramses Shaffy and Jacques Brel will be performed, as well as compositions by Tchaikovsky and Schubert, translated to Dutch by singer Huub van der Lubbe.
All performed music is arranged specifically for this occassion.
