The Common Linnets’ JB Meijers and Ilse DeLange will be hosting a special class on Americana music during De Wereld Draait Door’s Summerschool.

“I’m excited, but a bit nervous nonetheless”, said singer Ilse DeLange. “Good thing JB is great at talking about music.”

DWDD Summerschool is a summer variant of DWDD University, an annual initiative which offers scientists and local celebrities a chance to share their knowledge. The Common Linnets will be talking about the style of music they’re invested in.  “Americana, Nashville and Tennessee, it’s all in there. It’s a very broad style of music. We want to educate people in this interesting genre.”

“It won’t be all talk though, we’ll be playing some songs too.” Said DeLange.
