Artists Honor Toon Hermans In Carré

A variety of Dutch artists and entertainers will commemorate the late legendary Dutch singer, comedian, and poet Toon Hermans (1916-2000)at the Royal Theater Carré on December 12th 2016, in honor of his 100th birthday.

In ‘Carré Presenteert TOON 100 JAAR’, different artists and entertainers reflect on Toon’s life and his legacy. Freek de Jonge tells stories of his idol. Jacques Klöters shows unreleased video footage. Chantal Janzen, Hadewych Minis, Paul van Vliet, and Lissa Meyvis sing Toon Herman’s songs. Jochem Myjer, Mark Rietman , and Karel de Rooij (as Buziau) have special performances planned for the evening.

Carré and Hermans have a special connection, as he performed over 550 sold out shows at the theater in his lifetime. Over a million people have witnessed the legend in action at the Royal Theater in Amsterdam.
