In a great night for UMPG artists, Tom Walker, Dua Lipa and Ariana Grande were among the winners at this year’s Brit awards.
Tom Walker did UMPG incredibly proud, taking home the award for British Breakthrough Act. Thanking his nan – among his friends and team – in a humble speech, Tom called the win an “an absolute honour and privilege.” The award is his first Brit, and a well-earned victory.
Having spent the last few weeks storming the charts and breaking records (currently boasting No.s 1, 2 and 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 list), Ariana Grande was crowned International Female Solo Artist, while unstoppable pop sensation Dua Lipa won the award for Best British Single with her and Calvin Harris’ ‘One Kiss.’
There was no shortage of UMPG representation in the night’s performances either. Dua Lipa took part in a medley with some of the biggest names in pop, H.E.R accompanied Jess Glynne in an emotional performance and Bastille’s Dan Smith joined P!nk for part of her closing medley.
Congratulations to all our nominees and winners!
