Ilse DeLange has been announced as one of the participants in Germany’s Let’s Dance, the equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing. The Dutch singer will first step on the dancefloor on February 26th 2021.
Taking part in Let’s Dance is the next step on Ilse’s German adventure. DeLange also took part in Sing meinen Song – Das Tauschkonzert in 2020. The show, based on the Dutch format Beste Zangers and similar to Sweden’s Så Mycket Bättre, brought her a lot of attention in Germany. After her participation there, DeLange once again represented the Netherlands in a contest: the Free European Song Contest #FreeESC . There, she claimed second place with Changes, only just behind Spain’s winner Nico Santos.
Her latest album, Changes, stayed in the German charts for eleven weeks.
The fourteenth season of Let's Dance will start on February 26, 2021 with the launch show on RTL, the celebrities will all get to know their professional dancing partner for the upcoming season. The first regular show starts on March 5, 2021.The contestants will then battle it out to find out who will become Dancing Star 2021. As always, the jury of the show consists of former professional dancers Joachim Llambi and South Africa’s Motsi Mabuse, as well as Cuban choreographer and fashion icon Jorge González. Daniel Hartwich and Victoria Swarovski will return as hosts.
