Today Musikförläggarna (Swedish Music Publishers Association) announced that Kenneth Gärdestad will be awarded the honorary Award at this year's Swedish MPA Awards. 

Kenneth Gärdestad is awarded for his considerable efforts in the Swedish music scene and for all the timeless stories he has shared. Kenneth is the man behind the lyrics of some of the most beloved and popular songs of our time.
'Himlen är oskyldigt blå', 'För kärlekens skull', 'Sol, vind och vatten' and 'Jag vill ha en egen måne' are just a few examples of the lyrics he wrote for his brother Ted Gärdestad. 

The award will be handled out at the prize ceremony in Stockholm November 11th.
