Legendary lyricist Kenneth Gärdestad has sadly passed away at the age of 69 following his battle with latent lymphoma and cancer.
 
Kenneth has played a key role in the Swedish music scene and is the man behind the lyrics to some of the most beloved and popular songs of our time.
'Himlen är oskyldigt blå', 'För kärlekens skull', 'Sol, vind och vatten' and 'Jag vill ha en egen måne' are just a few examples of the lyrics he wrote for his brother Ted Gärdestad. 
 
The recent years Kenneth has been hailed in various ways. He received the honorary awards at this year's Swedish Grammy Awards (Grammis) and at The Swedish MPA Awards (Musikförläggarnas Pris) in 2016 for all the timeless stories he has shared through Ted Gärdestad’s songs.
