Behind Vargas & Lagola are Vincent Pontare and Salem Al Fakir. The duo are two of Sweden's most successful songwriters and producers, with over 8,000,000,000 streams attributed to their music. They have written music for artists such as Avicii, Katy Perry, Madonna, Swedish House Mafia, Axwell Ʌ Ingrosso and many more. In 2017 they released their debut single 'Rolling Stone' which was shortly followed by 2018's big hit single, 'Roads'. The song was the most played song on Swedish radio by a Swedish band and spent over 60 weeks on the Swedish radio top 100. The song has also been streamed over 40,000,000 times on digital services.
Vargas & Lagola did their first live performance earlier this year at the Swedish Grammy’s. Last week they stepped onto a larger stage as they opened for Swedish House Mafia’s comeback and performed to a crowd of 115,000 over three nights.
