Max’s career began as the front man in Wolf Gang who released two major label albums to critical acclaim - the first of which he co-produced with Dave Fridmann (MGMT, Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev). He is a multi-instrumentalist who has since become one of the UK's go-to songwriter/producers working with the likes of Max Martin through to John Legend & Laufey. 

Most recently Max played a significant role in Olivia Dean’s Mercury nominated album ‘Messy’, which included writing singles ‘Dive’ & ’The Hardest Part feat. Leon Bridges’. Max’s wider releases include Blackpink - ‘Hard To Love’ from their recent US & UK no.1 album ‘Born Pink’, ‘Must Be Love’ with jazz superstar Laufey, Ashnikko's single feat. Kelis 'Deal With It', Jax Jones & Fireboy DML 'Me & My Guitar’, Years & Years feat Galantis' ‘Sweet Talker’ from the recent no.1 album, the BTS & Zara Larsson collaboration ‘Brand New Day’, Rudimental and Ed Sheeran's hit ‘Lay It All On Me’ and the Paul Woolford & Amber Mark single ‘Heat’. 

Other credits include co-prod/writing on Lapsley’s sophomore album alongside Joy Orbison, writing ‘Poster Girl’ and ‘Look What You’ve Done’ on Zara Larsson’s recent album and co-writing/producing ‘Final Notice’ with Ivor Rising Star Willow Kayne. Sam Ryder’s break out hit Space Man which peaked at no 2 in the UK was also co-written by Max. His versatility as a writer is reflected in his credits which also include further singles with Kelly Clarkson, ZAYN, Baby Queen, NCT127, The Vaccines, Kygo, Jelani Blackman, Kiah Victoria, Purple Disco Machine, Mathilda Mann and more..
