Roddy Beatz, aka “Roddy Run it Up”, is a young and fast-rising music producer hailing from Northamptonshire, with a penchant for music from an early age.

Roddy’s first memory of the studio was when his father brought him along to a studio session at age 12. Both his mother and father introduced him to many of the genres that still influence his sound today such as Reggae, Rock, Funk and Soul. As well as these influences, Roddy also played guitar in his local church’s youth band, as well as taking lessons for guitar on the side, being ever immersed in spaces where his musical talents could flourish.

Soon before long, his growing passion for Rap and Hip-Hop led him to take on music production, where local artists were soon asking Roddy to jump on his beats and record with him, forcing him to learn the art of studio engineering and recording and mixing vocals.

To date, Roddy already has some pretty impressive accolades under his belt, such as co-producing ‘Air BnB’ and ‘Straight Back To It’ on UK artist Central Cee’s #1 mixtape ‘23’, and also co-producing for Grime legend Ghett’s track ‘Alphabet’ featuring TE dness.

Aside from his own music, Roddy has also actively been involved with supporting the local youth, running successful free music production workshops alongside fellow producer Young Chencs, with aspirations to host more in the future.

For the rest of 2022 and beyond, Roddy is focused on building strong foundations, valuable networks and key relationships, as well as navigating his way through the industry and developing the next generation and sound of UK Rap and Hip-Hop.
