Following the 5* reaction to the title track ‘Ill Manors’ the feature length debut of musician Plan B (aka Ben Drew) is out now.
It’s an explosive, unique crime thriller, narratively linked through original music from Plan B himself. The film has been described as groundbreaking, visually stunning and a gripping experience, laced with street-wise humour. Ben Drew both wrote and directed the film, which stars award-winning Four Lions actor Riz Ahmed.
The soundtrack to the film serves as Plan B’s third studio album, and features production from Chase and Status, Labrinth and Al Shux. Plan B describes the album's sound as “bass-line, soul, hip-hop”, and goes on to explain, “the album has the lyrical depth of my first record but the musical composition is light years ahead as it's informed by everything I've learnt in the last five years.”
‘Ill Manors’ the film is out now. ‘Ill Manors’ the album is due for release next month on Atlantic Records.
