Songs from several Universal Music Publishing writers feature in the film ‘Kick-Ass 2’, starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jim Carrey, and directed by Jeff Wadlow.
Dave, aka Kick-Ass, decides to start the world's first superhero team with Mindy, aka Hit Girl. Unfortunately, when Mindy is caught by her stepfather sneaking out as her alter-ego, she's forced to retire from being a superhero. With no one left to turn to, Dave joins forces with Justice Forever, a superhero vigilante group run by a born-again ex-mobster, Colonel Stars and Stripes. In the meantime, the world's first super villain begins assembling his own evil league, intent on revenge.
‘Kick-Ass 2’ features music from UMP’s DJ Fresh ‘Motherquake’, Glasvegas ‘Euphoria, Take My Hand’ and writer Desmond Child on Joan Jett’s ‘ I Hate Myself for Loving You’. The international trailer (below) is set to Nouvelle Vague’s cover of The Undertones ‘Teenage Kicks’.
