Coldplay have written the lead single of the soundtrack for ‘Catching Fire’, the latest instalment of 'The Hunger Games' franchise. ‘Atlas’ is Coldplay's first new track since the release of their last album ‘Mylo Xyloto’ in 2011, and the first original song for a motion picture the band has composed. 

Director Francis Lawrence expressed his delight at the band's involvement: "I have great respect and admiration for Coldplay, and we are thrilled with how well they have connected to the themes and ideas within the film. Their unwavering passion and excitement for the project elevated the collaboration even further."

‘Catching Fire’, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth, is in cinemas now. The film's soundtrack also includes ‘Who We Are’ by UMP artist Imagine Dragons.
