'I Give It A Year' is the directorial debut by Dan Glazer, whose previous credits are as part of Sasha Baron Cohen’s writing team for 'Bruno' and 'Ali G'. The film, produced by rom com veterans Working Title, stars Rafe Spall, Rose Byrne and Simon Baker, and follows the trials and tribulations of two newlyweds in their first year of marriage.
The soundtrack includes music written and performed by several Universal Music Publishing artists: AlunaGeorge 'Your Drums, Your Love'; Eurythmics 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)'; Paul Weller 'You Do Something to Me'; and 'Give it Away' and 'Out of Town' by Zero 7.
The opening and closing credits feature Jessie Ware covering the classic house tune 'Never Knew Love Like This Before' written by The Right Attitude. In addition, Kristina Train covers fellow UMPG artist Coldplay’s 'Sparks' and Lolo Pritch covers Neil Finn’s Crowded House classic 'Don’t Dream it’s Over'.
