Based on the hit TV show, 2016 sees the welcome return of Absolutely Fabulous in Movie form, directed by Mandie Fletcher and written by Jennifer Saunders. The acclaimed film features a soundtrack including songs from Formation, INXS, Jason Derulo and Nancy Sinatra.

The film follows the much loved Edina and Patsy still ‘oozing glitz and glamour’, still living the high life we’re used to. After being blamed for an accident at a fashionable launch party, they become embroiled in a media storm and are relentlessly pursued by the paparazzi.

All of this takes place to a soundtrack of UMPG music, which includes Formation's 'Hangin’', Nancy Sinatra singing Jimmy Webb's 'Macarthur Park', and Jason Derulo with 'Get Ugly'.

The film was released in the UK on 1st July 2016 and has already scored the biggest opening weekend by a British film this year. Empire said "Saunders’ script is filled with enough genuine zingers – Edina and Patsy are classics".
