Finalists have been announced for the Music Week Sync Awards, which returns for its fourth year this October. UMPG have been nominated for eleven awards in a variety of categories.
UMPG are nominated for:
Best Social Media / Online Partnership for the McDonalds campaign ‘Good Times’ which featured ‘Mamacita’ Tinie Tempah (co-written by Jin Jin)
Best Sync – TV Show (Drama) for Stranger Things ‘Should I Stay Or Should I Go’ by The Clash
Two nominations for Best Sync – Video Game Trailer: Life is Strange: Before The Storm – ‘Numbers’ by Daughter and Wipeout Omega Collection – ‘Antidote’ by Swedish House Mafia Vs Knife Party
Three nominations for Best Sync – TV Advert for:
- Heineken - When You Drink, Don't Drive – ‘Heroes’ - Postmodern Jukebox feat. Nicole Atkins
- John Lewis Christmas 2016 – ‘One Day I'll Fly Away’ by the Vaults
- M&S Food 'Spend It Well' – ‘Shape Of You’ by Ed Sheeran (co-written by Steve Mac)
Three nominations for Best Individual Sync – Film for:
- City of Tiny Lights – ‘Shedding Skin’ by Ghost Poet
- Get Out – ‘Redbone’ by Childish Gambino
- T2 Trainspotting – ‘Shotgun Mouthwash’ by High Contrast
And finally, Sync team: Publisher for work including:

- Lloyds Bank ‘By Your Side’ – ‘Praise You’ Hannah Grace (Advert)

The categories showcase the best and most successful sync placements across an entire range of media, including film, TV, video games and online.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony which will take place on October 19 at 8 Northumberland Avenue in London, and will be hosted by BBC Radio 6 Music presenter Shaun Keaven.
