The 57th Ivor Novello Award nominations have been announced today, with songwriters and artists represented by Universal Music Publishing receiving eight nominations.

Adele’s ‘Rolling In the Deep’ and Florence + The Machine’s ‘Shake It Out’ have both been nominated for Best Song Musically and Lyrically, whilst James Blake’s ‘The Wilhelm Scream’ is up for Best Contemporary Song.

Adele has picked up a further three nominations with both ‘Rolling in the Deep’ and ‘Someone Like You’ nominated for the PRS for Music Most Performed Work award, and ‘21’ in the running for the Album Award.

Take That join Adele on the shortlist for PRS for Music Most Performed Work with ‘The Flood’, whilst composer Paul Englishby has received a nomination in Best Television Soundtrack for ‘Page Eight’.
