Four artists signed to Universal Music Publishing were recognised at the NME Awards last night at London’s Troxy.
Florence + The Machine picked up two awards – one for Best Solo Artist and a second for Dancefloor Anthem for her collaboration with Calvin Harris ‘Sweet Nothing’. Palma Violets won the Best New Band award and The Killers collected Best International Band. Johnny Marr was bestowed the Godlike Genius award. Collecting his trophy he offered some advice to aspiring young musicians, saying; "Just keep going, never give up because this is the best job in the world."
