Songwriters and artists signed to Universal Music Publishing received an impressive twenty four nominations for the 2013 BRIT Awards, with Mumford & Sons receiving a trio of nominations, Best Group, Best Album for ‘Babel’ and Best Live Act. Paloma Faith, Coldplay, Jessie Ware, Olly Murs and Plan B each received two nominations. There are also nominations for The xx, Richard Hawley and The Vaccines.
In the Best International Group category, The Killers and Alabama Shakes received nominations, whilst there are nominations for Best Single for Adele’s ‘Skyfall’, Alex Clare’s ‘Too Close’, Florence & The Machine’s ‘Spectrum’ and two Rita Ora tracks co-written by UK signed writers, R.I.P. (Chase & Status) and ‘Hot Right Now’ (The Invisible Men).
The winners are to be announced at the O2 Arena on 20th February and congratulations go to all our nominees listed below:
