After a career spanning 15 years, including 5 No. 1 albums and 2008’s million selling ‘Best of’ compilation ‘A Decade in the Sun’, Sterephonics return with their eighth studio album ‘Graffiti on the Train’.

The album is loosely based around a screenplay, written by frontman Kelly Jones, about two friends who flee the country after a tragic accident. It’s more experimental than the band’s previous work – a quality that Jones partly attributes to the fact that “I found myself walking into a studio with 40 unfinished ideas, rather than 10 finished ones. And by doing that the songs became way more unpredictable.”

Tracks on the album include the stripped back, bluesy one-take wonder ‘Been Caught Cheating’, the smouldering ‘Take Me’, the dark and moody ‘In A Moment’, early taster from the album ‘Violins And Tambourines’ and the first official single ‘Indian Summer’.

Considering the band's new direction Kelly offers; “Eight albums in I didn’t want to make a record which was…'oh here’s another Stereophonics album and what am I going to write about now I’m 38'. I can do that, but for me we needed to dig a bit deeper.”
