Artists and writers signed to Universal Music Publishing have received 8 nominations for the 59th Ivor Novello awards.

Laura Mvula’s debut album ‘Sing to the Moon’ is up for the Album Award, whilst Everything Everything ‘Kemosabe’, Disclosure ‘Latch’ (co-written by James Napier) and James Blake ‘Retrograde’ are all up for Best Contemporary Song

In the Best Song Musically & Lyrically category Palma Violets ‘Best Of Friends’ and John Newman ‘Love Me Again’ (co-written by UMPG’s Steve Booker) are both nominees.

Olly Murs ‘Troublemaker’ is up for PRS for Music Most Performed Work whilst Steven Price’s soundtrack for ‘Gravity’ is nominated for Best Original Film Score.

The 59th Ivor Novello Awards will take place on Thursday 22nd May at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.
