Grammy Awards nominations 2015

Friday’s Grammy nominations announcement saw the achievements of Bastille and Haim recognised in the Best New Artist category.  The two bands recently collaborated on the hard rocking ‘Bite Down’, the second track on Bastille’s new album 'Vs. (Other People's Heartache, Pt. III)'.

Coldplay’s two nominations for Best Pop Vocal Album for ‘Ghost Stories’ and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for ‘A Sky Full of Stars’ takes them to a massive 30 Grammy nominations to date.  We’ll find out at the awards ceremony in February 2015 whether they’ll be adding to their remarkable haul of 59 industry awards, including eight Grammy wins.

Nominations for Best Dance Recording highlighted Basement Jaxx’s ‘Never Say Never’ and Disclosure’s ‘F For You’ and the Jimmy Napes co-written ‘Rather Be’ by Clean Bandit.

Dangermouse, The Invisible Men, Jimmy Napes, Will Phillips, Elvin Smith, Gary Lightbody and Wretch 32 were all involved in nominations for their respective co-writes with The Black Keys, Iggy Azalea, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran.

The 57th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on 8 February, 2015 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The show will be broadcast live by CBS.
