The Common Linnets release 'II'

Great songs, sparkling guitar riffs, acoustic string instruments and intricate vocal harmonies – all are present in abundance on The Common Linnets' new album ‘II’.

The release follows a period of growing success for the band – single ‘Calm After The Storm’ reached No. 1 in 14 countries, and their self-titled debut album went triple platinum in the Netherlands, platinum in Germany, and won 12 international awards, including the prestigious ECHO Award in Germany.

The vocal harmonies of the group reflect the influence of 1970’s West Coast bands such as Fleetwood Mac and Nash & Young but ‘II’ is clearly in the Americana and alt-country vein.

Talking about the album Ilse de Lange explains: “Our music grows organically… we did not start out to score hits and get platinum records. It is all about our love for music and creating something that comes from the heart."
