Universal Music Publishing are well represented in the 2016 Ivor Novello nominations announced today, with seven out of 18 nominations and all three nominations in the Best Original Film Score category.
Jamie xx’s second album ‘In Colour’ has been nominated for the Album Award whilst Years & Years’ ‘King’ has been nominated for PRS For Music Most Performed Work, alongside Jess Glynne’s ‘Hold My Hand’, co-written by Jin Jin.
In the Best Song Musically & Lyrically category, Ed Sheeran’s ‘Bloodstream’, co-written by Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody has been nominated.
The three nominations In the Best Original Film Score category are ‘Ex_Machina’ (Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury), ‘Pan’ (John Powell) and ‘The Duke Of Burgundy’ (Rachel Zeffira of Cat’s Eyes).
The 61st Ivor Novello Awards will take place on Thursday 19th May at Grosvenor House, London - when there will also be other awards presented to songwriters and composers in recognition of their contribution to British music.
