Fatboy Slim has been announced as music director for Julien Temple’s upcoming documentary ‘Ibiza – The Silent Movie’. Also known as Norman Cook, the legendary DJ will curate a selection of his own and other producer’s work.
The project, which is currently undergoing principal photography in Ibiza, is a feature length documentary that aims to convey a “compelling audio visual journey into Ibiza’s bohemian soul.” The film will feature original material documenting the island’s club scene along with unseen archive material.
Expert music film director Julien Temple (Glastonbury, The Filth and the Fury, London, The Modern Babylon), said: “With the incredible 2,000 year history of this magical island as a subject and the genius of Norman Cook now on board to produce a soundtrack you can dance to, we believe this film will take event media to a whole new level”.
Fatboy Slim has had a huge summer with his second Ibiza residency, numerous festival appearances and will be playing a massive headline show at London’s Alexandra Palace February 2018.
